Jozani Forest
The Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park is a 50 km² national park in Tanzania located on the island of Zanzibar and is a haven for the Red Colobus Monkey and amongst the last sanctuaries in the world where it can be found. It is also home to the rare Zanzibar Sykes Monkey, antelopes, Zanzibar leopard, blue monkeys, chameleons, mongoose, tree hyrax, bush pigs, civets, 50 different species of butterflies and 40 species of birds not to mention the fish and crabs in the mangroves.
Here you will also find magnificent towering mature trees, ancient mangroves, a forest filled with different fauna and flora and medicinal plants and a veritable learning treasure trove for academics.
