Demonstration Farm
NANDI Zanzibar’s developing demonstration farm is the Centre of its operations where through training and hands on experience it will show case through permaculture practices of how communities can join hands and work towards living simply and sustainably in order to be economically empowered through the cooperative movement. The focal point will be education and training in permaculture techniques, skills, strategies and design to create food systems from home kitchen gardens in order to create small scale natural agriculture gardens. This will also address maternal and child health issues which through good dietary practices will reduce malnutrition in homesteads.

Vegetable Farming and small animal husbandry
Using the Co-operative method, and by training women in permaculture methods of back yard farming small animal husbandry, fruit growing, vegetable /herb farming NANDI Zanzibar is opening economic opportunities for the local women. NANDI is spearheading marketing campaigns in the hospitality sector aimed at selling local produce through cooperative movement to economically uplift homesteads.
Village homestead cleanup programs, afforestation campaigns, homestead decoration with NANDI in the fore front will help create beautiful and clean spaces to live in.
NANDI also envisions to professionally pack and sell Muscle which is uniquely abundant in this locality further impacting lives in the whole village.
Skilled persons in the agriculture sector are welcome to offer training and volunteers from all walks of live are invited to help build this demonstration center.
